New for VACEP 2025: the Virginia College of Emergency Physicians will convene multiple ED medical directors, managing partners, and other leaders in an afternoon summit to discuss issues and share ideas that will make you a better leader, help you plan ahead, and give you knowledge to better manage medical operations.
ED leaders from both rural and urban academic and community medical centers as well as several healthcare attorneys will discuss:
Boarding, including Riverside Health’s processes that brought ED boarding from 30+ patients daily to nearly zero despite an increase in volume
Managing Risk and EMTALA Issues
Hiring, Retaining, Firing and HR Issues
Operational Tactics
If you lead EDs in Virginia — or hope to someday — this is a cannot miss event. Not only will you learn how Emergency Medicine leaders across the state have solved or at least minimized many of our most pressing issues, but the Summit and the VACEP Annual Conference offer an opportunity for you to network with Virginia’s top emergency medicine minds.
