New for VACEP 2025: the Virginia College of Emergency Physicians will convene multiple ED medical directors, managing partners, and other leaders in an afternoon summit to discuss issues and share ideas that will make you a better leader, help you plan ahead, and give you knowledge to better manage medical operations.

ED leaders from both rural and urban academic and community medical centers as well as several healthcare attorneys will discuss:

• Boarding, including Riverside Health’s processes that brought ED boarding from 30+ patients daily to nearly zero despite an increase in volume

• Hiring, Retaining, Firing and HR Issues

• Operational Tactics
