A Much Calmer March | March eNews 153

This time last year was when many of us, myself included, began isolating from friends and loved ones. Last spring, your VACEP leadership and those of us behind the scenes were struggling to find out what you needed and how to get it to you. I'm proud to say that your professional organization, while facing many challenges, has grown stronger and more active than ever before.

Last fall, during Dr. Anthony Fauci's address at ACEP20, I started joking (rather optimistically) that I was scheduling my vaccine for March. I was incredibly surprised that my prediction came true and am overjoyed that vaccinations are ramping up across the Commonwealth.

Your hard work and sacrifices over the last year will soon be rewarded with hugs and vacations (and in-person school!). We look forward to seeing you all ("IRL") at future conferences, be they LAC this summer, ACEP21 this fall, or VACEP's annual conference next winter (details forthcoming). Stay safe, everyone, and see you soon!
